12 Best cafes in Abu Dhabi

1. Sandersons

One of the “older” places, which by now the majority of you have probably discovered already. If not, awesome, you’re gonna love it. Besides their tropical trendy and spacious interior, they have an extensive menu with different breakfast and lunch options. On top of that, they make their own almond and coconut milk! There is plenty of space so this is a great spot to go with a bunch of friends, or to work on your laptop for a day. Menu

2. Parallel

This picture perfect cafe is hidden in a very random neighborhood where you’d never expect to find such a little gem. Sadly, I discovered this place during my last week in Abu Dhabi, but I’m glad I found it at all. The main items on the menu are various types of coffee, cakes and Acai bowls, a lovely spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

3. Joud

A more popular place as well, probably because it’s located on the corner at Al Seef Village and it already looks appealing from the outside. There is a a lot of seating inside, as well as in the gorgeous glass conservatory. Besides a great collection of coffees, they also serve food!

Love all the light and fresh colours in Joud!

4. Ten11 Coffee

Another cafe conveniently located in between big offices in the Embassy District, meaning it’s a great place for meeting, but you do have to drive there specifically, as there is not much around. However, it is a wonderful cafe with some yummy breakfast and lunch items. I also fell in love with the cutlery and tableware.

5. Cupital Cafe

Hidden on a corner and not looking that inviting from the outside, this actually happened to be quite a cute cafe. Unfortunately they don’t serve meals, but there are some very yummi cakes and cookies to have with your coffee.

6. DRVN Coffee

I would say this is a unique place, and you need to know about it, because it doesn’t look like a cafe from the outside at all. It’s located in between car shops and it’s also completely in a vintage car/vehicle theme, very cool! Although it’s very big, it tends to get quite crowded in the weekends. When I visited this place for the last time in August they still served coffees in paper cups, which was a bit of a disappointment. The unique coffees such as “Pine nut coffee” and the food definitely made up for this! Try the Truffle pizza, you won’t regret it!

7. LEEN’s casual to gourmet

Previously known as Surf’s Cafe, this stylish cafe located in the World Trade Center Mall is a great spot to spend some time working on your laptop, or to have some food. We’ve been here a few times and besides the great menu, the staff is very attentive and friendly. Compared to most cafe’s this one is quite big, but still cozy! They serve Breakfast, Mains, Bowls and Sushi, so there’s something for everyone. 🙂

8. Tea Club

Although this cafe is particularly pro in tea, they do serve coffee. Personally, I tried one of their many different types of fresh teas and loved it! It comes in a beautiful teapot, so you’ll have plenty to drink with your freshly made SCONES! As I’ve lived in Dublin for a while and don’t think I’ve had one ever since I left, I was so happy to see these on the menu. If you’re in for some tea and gossip time, this is your place to be 😉

BUCKET LIST, perhaps you could give them a try and let me know in the comments how your experience was!

9. AZF Cafe

A place I spotted from the car a few months ago, but sadly never had the chance to visit. It is not as small as many other cafes in Abu Dhabi, and is located near TEN11 cafe. When I passed by from the outside it looked quite spacious and light, because of the glass walls on 2 sides. Another bonus about this place is that they serve breakfast and from what I’ve seen on the photos, it looks pretty delisshh.

10. Soo Matcha Cafe

If you love this Japanese green tea, which is considered to be a superfood, this is your place to be! From the photos I’ve seen, it also looks like pretty cute place.

11. Elixir

The neighbor of Parallel cafe, but with a very different style. Instead of the tropical fresh vibes, this place has a more Scandinavian/minimal style.

12. AD Cafe

In the same area as Elixir and Parallel there is AD Cafe, a small specialty coffee shop, where they have a bunch of sweet goodies and croissants as well. Besides that, they sell a variety of coffee related products in their store and online!
