Ultimate travelers (Christmas) gift list

The time for gifts is coming up again. Christmas is around the corner so it’s time to think about the presents you want to give your loved ones around you. Shipping times usually increase during this time of the year so avoid having to buy last minute standard gifts and order your gifts on time. This list is mainly put together for people who are in the Netherlands at the moment, since most shops are based in the Netherlands. 1. Saywhat bottle

Saywhat is a Dutch company that fights against the plastic in the ocean that threatens and kills so many sea life. Their bottles keep hot drinks warm for 12 hours and cold drink cold for 24 hours. I don’t really travel without my Saywhat bottle anymore. I love the wide variety in colours they have, took me a while to decide which one to order (as with any decision in life). This world map made of wood is a real eye-catcher and unique gift for someone who loves to explore. With the double sided tape it is easy to place it on the wall but also easy to take it off again. 4. DJI Osmo 5 to make the best videos

We got this DJI gadget this year and it really helps to improve our videos. Since you can just put your phone in there you can easily make videos that are not shaky anymore as you walk.

5. Packing Cubes

Quite a lot of experienced travellers already have these as they are so useful, but if you know someone who is going on their first (backpack) trip, this is definitely a must! I always use mine, both for short and longer trips as it is so much easier to keep your stuff organised. Those who know me, know how chaotic I can be so these are a real life-saver. 6. Wanderlust book

I got this book for my birthday this year and I absolutely love it! The photos are stunning and it’s really inspiring. This is quite a large book, so better to keep it at home than to take it with you on a trip. I can’t wait to go on one of the treks/hikes mentioned in the book and I’m pretty sure any active traveler would love to receive this.

Most people are trying to be more conscious but especially when you love traveling it only makes sense to think about the environment. I mean, we all want to keep enjoying the beauty of this world right? So by decreasing the amount of plastic you use you’re already making a positive change. 12. Travel games

We love to bring games when we travel! Although we forget to actually take them with us when we hit the road, when we do bring a game with us it’s always so nice. Whether you’re waiting for food in a restaurant, watching the sunset at the beach, having a picnic, killing time at the airport or just sipping your cocktail at the bar, there is always a moment to squeeze in a little game. My boyfriend and I played a lot of Qwixx and Monopoly Deal during our past trips and we recently got Regenwormen as a gift. Uno and Skip-Bo also never get old!
